URL Decoder

All tools

Decode URL components. - runs entirely in your browser. Free, fast and private.

How it works

Four simple steps

1

Paste encoded URL

Add percent-encoded paths or query values.

2

Decode sequences

%XX triplets convert back to readable characters.

3

Show plain text

Plus signs and unicode render correctly in output.

4

Copy decoded value

Use readable text in logs or UI labels.

URL Decoder

About URL Decoder

Logs show %2F and %3A everywhere and you cannot tell what the user actually requested. URL Decoder turns percent-encoded text back into readable characters so you can inspect paths, queries, and payloads.

Decode when tracing broken redirects, reading analytics query dumps, or checking whether a value was encoded twice. Invalid escape sequences usually mean truncated copy-paste; fix the source string before you assume the app is wrong.

Mistake: decoding an entire URL and then treating + as space inconsistently with application/x-www-form-urlencoded rules. Know whether your stack uses + or %20 for spaces.

After you can read the value, URL Parser helps split scheme, host, and params without guessing.

Strings are decoded in-browser as you work. Useful when a query might contain tokens or PII you should not drop into a third-party decoder.

Always run official CLIs (kubectl, terraform plan, actionlint, etc.) on the final files after using URL Decoder as a starting point.

Syntax may vary across Kubernetes/Terraform/GitHub Actions versions. Adjust generated snippets to your runtime version.

After the page loads, most authors work offline. Keep a local copy of critical manifests.

Commit reviewed files to Git rather than sharing long-lived links with secrets in query strings.
