Client-Side Image Tools vs Upload Sites
Memes can go to an upload editor. Passport scans and unreleased creatives shouldn’t. Compress, convert, and resize in the tab instead.
Upload-based image editors are fine for a public meme. They’re a bad default for passport scans, unreleased product shots, or screenshots from an internal admin tool.
Client-side tools keep the pixels in the tab until you hit download. Same jobs - compress, convert, resize - without staging your file on someone else’s disk.

- Knock a PNG or JPEG down with Compress Image.
- Swap formats through Convert Image.
- Hit a docs or ads size with Resize Image.
None of that needs a third-party upload if the browser can do it. For quick one-offs, it usually can.
